This small vase was inspired by walking the Cape to Cape trail in Western Australia during wildflower season. It features Winged Boronia (Boronia alata).
The vase is coil-built in smooth white clay and is oval in cross-section. It is painted with slips and underglaze and carved to create the botanical design. The exterior is glazed on the plant only, with matte clay background. The inside is clear glazed.
