This medium-large vase was inspired by walking the Cape to Cape trail in Western Australia during wildflower season. It features Southern Rose (Diplolaena dampieri) intermingled with Wattle.
The vase is built in smooth white clay, painted with slips and underglaze, and carved to create the botanical design. The exterior is unglazed, with a velvety matte quality. The inside is clear glazed.
