This vase was inspired by walking the Cape to Cape trail in Western Australia during wildflower season. It features the silvery leaves and pom-pom flowers of Silver Wattle, which I saw growing in the Boranup Forest.
The vase is built in smooth white clay, painted with slips and underglaze, and carved to create the botanical design. The exterior is glazed on the plant only, with a matte clay background. The inside is clear glazed.
Dimensions: H 13 x W 16 cm
