Silver Indigo (Indigofera leucotricha), with its small white leaves and hot pink flowers, was one of my favourite plants on the grassy plains of the Larapinta Trail.
The vase is built in smooth red clay, painted with underglaze and carved to create the botanical design. A clear glaze is applied inside and outside. When glazed, the clay takes on a chocolate-brown tone that contrasts with the colourful plant.
