This medium-sized vase was created during my residency at BigCi Australia. It features Pagoda Rock Daisy (Leucochrysum graminifolium), which grows on the dramatic rock formations (‘pagodas’) of Gardens of Stone State Conservation Area.
The vase is built in warm grainy clay, painted with slip and underglaze, and carved to create the botanical design. The exterior is unglazed, with a velvety matte quality. The inside is clear glazed.
Dimensions: H 16.5 x W 16.5 cm
