This vase features Native Juniper or Boobiala (Myoporum insulare), an Australian coastal plant which I saw on the Great South West Walk in Victoria.
The vase is built in smooth white clay, painted with underglaze, and carved to create the botanical design. A clear glaze is applied on the plant design and on the inside, leaving the carved background matte.
