This vase was inspired by walking the Cape to Cape trail in Western Australia during wildflower season. It features the succulent leaves and bright flowers of Karkalla (Carpobrotus rossii).

The vase is built in smooth white clay, painted with slips and underglaze, and carved to create the botanical design. The exterior is unglazed, with a velvety matte quality. The inside is clear glazed.
