This medium-sized vase was created during my residency at BigCi Australia. It features a white-flowering Hakea from Wollemi National Park.
The vase is built in warm grainy clay, painted with slip and underglaze, and carved to create the botanical design. The exterior is unglazed, giving the plant a velvety matte quality. The inside is clear glazed.
