This small vase features Australia’s national floral emblem, Golden Wattle (Acacia pycnantha), from the Great South West Walk in Victoria.
It is built in smooth white clay, painted with indigo underglaze, and carved to create the surface design. It is clear glazed on the inside. The outside is unglazed, with a slight sheen to the indigo underglaze and a matte clay background.
