This large vase was inspired by my visit to Western Australia during wildflower season. It features Elegant Banksia (Banksia elegans).
The vase is built in smooth white clay, painted with slips and underglaze, and carved to create the botanical design. The exterior is unglazed, with a velvety matte quality. The inside is clear glazed.
