This large open vase was created during my residency at BigCi Australia. It features Callicoma (Callicoma serratifolia) from Wollemi National Park.
The form is built in grainy white clay, painted with slip and underglaze, and carved to create the botanical design. The exterior is unglazed and matte. The inside is glazed a dappled muted green, reminiscent of the colours of the Wollemi landscape.
