This medium vase was inspired by walking the Thorsborne Trail on Hinchinbrook Island in far north Queensland. It features the glossy green leaves and unusual fluffy flowers of Barringtonia.
The gourd-shaped vase is built in warm sand-coloured clay, painted with slips and underglaze, and carved to create the botanical design. It has a glossy clear glaze inside and outside.
