This large vase was created during my residency at BigCi Australia. It features a narrow-leafed acacia with seedpods from Gardens of Stone State Conservation Area.
The vase is built in smooth white clay, painted with slip and underglaze, and carved to create the botanical design. The exterior is clear-glazed on the plant only, leaving the carved background matte. The inside is clear glazed.
